A warm welcome......awaits you at The Brewer's Arms, a traditional country pub in the picturesque village of Martinstown, just outside Dorchester in Dorset. We pride ourselves on our locally-sourced, homemade food, cask ales and friendly atmosphere.With our large car park, sunny courtyard garden and great location close to the Jurassic Coast, South Dorset Ridgeway and Maiden Castle, we’re a popular ‘stop-off’ for walkers, cyclists and visitors to the West Country.We have two beautiful en-suite Bed & Breakfast rooms with their own private entrances. Dogs are welcome in the pub and as overnight guests with their owners in our spacious guest rooms.

We have two spacious and beautifully decorated bed and breakfast rooms, each with a private entrance.The rooms – one double with king-size bed and one twin with extra large single beds - look out over the courtyard garden and both are fully en-suite. The twin bedroom has a wheelchair friendly wet room making it ideal for guests with mobility problems.Tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary bottled water are provided in the rooms, along with quality toiletries, a hairdryer and extra bedding.Room Rates Rooms cost £90.00 per night for two people with full English breakfast, including toast and fruit juice. Martinstown is a picturesque village about three miles from Dorchester, in West Dorset. The area is rich in history and blessed with the most amazing countryside, making it popular with walkers and cyclists. The South Dorset Ridgeway is close by and provides incredible views of the Jurassic Coast and many of the picturesque villages nestling in the lush countryside.EndFragment
The Brewer’s Arms is owned and run by Micky, Sara, Chris and Anne-Marie. It’s a family affair as Sara and Anne-Marie are sisters.The pub was originally built as a girl’s school in 1848 and converted into the village inn in 1865 when the beer came from the Brewery House opposite. In the early years, the pub was particularly popular with farmers washing their sheep in the washing pool just up the lane in front of the pub. The washing pool is still there and now acts as the starting point for the annual Duck Race which sees hundred of plastic ducks “racing” each other down the stream.
